About the author: Peggie Herron Miller, a Kentucky Colonel, is a product of many generations in the Western Kentucky area about which she writes. Her first published work appeared before her tenth birthday. On academic scholarships, she attended Vanderbilt University and David Lipscomb University, where she earned a degree magna cum laude in Education. While in school, she wrote for the Nashville Tennessean and edited the college newspaper and magazine. Since 1991 she has written twice weekly fine arts and entertainment columns for a daily newspaper in Montgomery County, Texas. Over the years, her work has also appeared in national magazines. Her active participation in community affairs has led to her appointment on several boards of directors in the arts.
